Salad in Februrary!

We were psyched to be eating lettuce by February. The arugula and mesclun mix has done exceptionally well. The cilantro seemed to be the slowest growing of all. Its considered a cool weather vegetable, but perhaps needed better lighting. Everything is growing much better now with spring temperatures, full spectrum bulbs and extended sunlight coming through the windows.

Also, I also planted some pear seedlings, which I germinated from pear seeds. Ive got about a dozen growing now and plan to plant them in the backyard in May.
