Hard to describe by words right? Let me show you a rough sketch courtesy of my Galaxy Note:
A simple sketch of Zuls AP setup
Zul hired me as a consultant and also to help out with the construction. Since Id like to spend more time at home while working for his AP project, we made an arrangement so that hell get some of the stuffs while I procure the rest of it which Ill be making components out of e.g. plumbing pieces, canister filter, bell siphons were all constructed at my house and then transported to his house when completed.
So last Sunday we began transporting stuffs from my house to the actual backyard and started constructing. It wasnt easy doing such labor intensive work during Ramadhan but well manage to complete around 50% of the assembly. All thats left for this coming Saturday is to assemble the whole system together.
Some of the components: Gravelbed, 90liter canister filter, 12gallon holding tank, japanese and taiwan mat filters...
The setup is gonna be two-tiered, tanks and gravelbeds on the ground while the gutterbeds on the patio
Weve completed the gravelbed structures!
Now weve got to try out the netpots we got courtesy of Mr Gan Thian with the hole saw size that I have. A perfect fit!
A demonstration of the gravelbed sitting on its support structure. Fish and sump tanks are supposed to fit right underneath
I made a mistake in calculating the size needed so I had to cut some slits on the gravelbed rim to make them fit
Here is the canister filter which will filter out water before they get into the gutterbeds. Very, very important component! Dont wanna trap fish poop in the gutterbeds...
An inside look of the filter after installing all fittings necessary. Many of the fittings you see here are just supports for the filter pads
An overlook of the work done at the end of the day.
